Combining the best techniques of Cardiovascular Surgeons & Electrophysiologists to develop a new standard of care by utilizing a combined approach to treat all types of atrial fibrillation (AF). The convergent procedure offers a truly minimally-invasive solution with no chest incisions or ports and is performed on a beating heart to potentially deliver superior patient outcomes and short hospital stays.
Individual catheter and surgical approaches have limited success for a narrow patient subset of the AF population. However, by combining nContact's epicardial ablation technology and endoscopic access advantages with EP endocardial ablation and mapping and diagnostic capabilities, a new treatment alternative with measureable intra-operative diagnostic endpoints may ensure better outcomes on a broader population.

Registration to ISO 13485:2003: The Numeris® Tethered and Guided Coagulation Systems have received CE Mark approval for the coagulation of cardiac tissue using radiofrequency (RF) energy during cardiac surgery for the treatment of arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation (AF) or Atrial Flutter (AFL).
